Q: Do I need to hire an architect to design my

A: We welcome your architects participation but
in many cases our design build capabilities make the need
for an outside architect unnecessary. Our design/build
team includes designers, licensed architects, engineers and
other building consultants that can be used on as needed
basis. This keeps costs down and timeline short. |

thinking about acting as my own contractor on my remodeling
job to save money. What problems might I face?
A: Most people underestimate the amount of
time, effort and knowledge it takes to contract their own
job. As an expert in your business that you're have
high productive value to your business that far exceeds your
value as a contractor.
Subcontractors, especially good ones may choose to work with
regular contractors only or charge higher prices to work
with you. This reflects their expectation that
you will be less organized and less capable of keeping all
subs on a schedule thus throwing your schedule off and
extending the duration and costs of the project. You
will also be less likely be able to recognize problems in
advance and schedule work in the proper sequence. This
